Drawing only the contours of the statues was challenging. Throughout the exercise I was tempted to create a detailed line drawing that broke into the contours of the object. Some of the contours created mass blobs rather than silhouettes. I could only decipher a few of my own drawings. This exercise helped me start from a whole rather than from a detail.
